Emily Johnson

Emily Johnson

Emily Johnson (she/her) first began to envision a career supporting children while in a Child Development class in high school. She continued to gather skills and understanding about conditions which help children thrive while in the Family & Human Services program at the University of Oregon.

She served as a Youth Pastor in Eugene, Oregon focusing on spiritual formation and creating a space where all youth felt a sense of belonging. Wanting to have a broader impact, Emily turned her efforts toward education and is an award-winning classroom educator with experience creating supportive, trauma informed inclusive learning environments. In 2018 she was recognized with the Excellence in Education Crystal Apple Award. She brings passionate expertise to the development and support of programs focused on child and family well-being and she loves working with educators to increase skills and connection. Emily's significant acumen was most recently recognized with the 2023 University of Oregon Outstanding Employee Award.

Outside of work you will most likely find Emily spending time with her family, enjoying the beauty of Oregon.
