Parent & Community Cafés

CSAW's Parent and Community Café model is grounded in more than 12 years of experience supporting families and communities across Oregon. Our approach is distinguished by:

  • Evidence-informed implementation grounded in the Strengthening Families Protective Factors Framework
  • Trauma-informed and resilience-oriented facilitation
  • Culturally responsive and inclusive practices
  • University-based expertise in implementation science and evaluation
  • Capacity-building that empowers local organizations to sustain programming
  • Flexible partnership models tailored to community needs

We believe that when parents have opportunities to build authentic relationships with one another, they are better equipped to navigate challenges, celebrate successes, and raise healthy, thriving children. Cafés create these opportunities by strengthening the protective factors that help families flourish. Parent Cafés enhance your current programming by providing an ongoing opportunity for caregivers to deepen relationships, reinforce learning, and develop peer support networks that extend well beyond a single educational event.
